As a tradition, the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Welfare is pleased to announce the
handover of hampers as gifts to Second-Born Babies of the Year, in celebration of the New Year
and in recognition of families across the nation.
This handing over reflects the Ministry’s continued commitment to promoting child welfare, supporting families,
and ensuring every child receives a strong and caring start in life.
Participating Hospitals
This year, the Ministry expanded the gesture to ten (10) hospitals across the country:
- Eward Francis Small Teaching Hospital
- Kanifing General Hospital
- Bundung Maternal Hospital
- Brikama Hospital
- Bwiam Hospital
- Essau Hospital
- Soma Hospital
- Bansang Hospital
- Farafenni Hospital
- Basse Hospital
Support Package
Each selected family will receive:
- A baby hamper
- A cash gift of GMD 20,000.00
The total financial support for all ten families amounts to
GMD 200,000.00.
The presentation symbolizes hope, care, and the Government’s dedication and commitment to the well-being of our
children and their families.
