The Directorate of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment works closely with respective Ministries, Directorates, and partners providing technical support to ensure that gender equality and women empowerment are mainstreamed into policies, legislation, and programmes at all levels.  The Directorate also provides technical support to all relevant departments on increasing access and diversity in funding to women-owned SMEs and in the protection and promotion of women’s rights. Therefore, ensuring that mainstreaming gender in policy and practice shall enable us to meet the needs and priorities of the population in a more targeted manner, based on how women, girls, boys, and men have been marginalized.
